قال خبير الأرصاد الجوية ليث العلامي إن الفصل الخريفي الفلكي سينطلق قريباً، حيث ستكون الشمس عامودية على خط الاستواء يوم السبت المقبل، في 23 سبتمبر 2023. وسيتزامن ذلك مع تقارب مدة الليل والنهار.
وفي منشوره على حسابه الشخصي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيسبوك، أوضح العلامي أن فصل الخريف سيمتد لمدة ثلاثة أشهر تقريبًا، ليعقبه فصل الشتاء.
وأشار إلى أنه مع بدء الخريف، ستتناقص تدريجيًا ساعات النهار نتيجة لتحرك الشمس نحو الجنوب بسبب دوران الأرض حولها، مما سيؤدي إلى تقليل كمية الإشعاع الشمسي وبدء تحرك الكتل الهوائية الباردة من مناطقها الأصلية.

Meteorologist Laith Al-Allami said that the astronomical autumn season will begin soon, as the sun will be perpendicular to the equator next Saturday, September 23, 2023. This will coincide with the convergence of the duration of day and night.
In his post on his personal account on the social networking site Facebook, Alami explained that the fall semester will extend for approximately three months, followed by the winter season.
He pointed out that with the beginning of autumn, daylight hours will gradually decrease as a result of the sun moving south due to the Earth’s rotation around it, which will lead to a reduction in the amount of solar radiation and the start of the movement of cold air masses from their original regions.
